Unsere Geschichte beginnt

Julian Cowan gründet sein Familienunternehmen Cole & Mason in der City of London. Ursprünglich als Geschenkartikelunternehmen gegründet, expandierte Cole & Mason schnell und erfolgreich in den Bereich Eisenwaren und Haushaltswaren.

Die Eröffnung unserer ersten Mühle

Julians Traum wurde Wirklichkeit, als Cole & Mason ihre erste Mühle auf den Markt brachte: die Capstan-Mühle, handgedrechselt in Park Green. Unter der Marke Peter Piper ein sofortiger Erfolg, ist ihr Design bis heute nahezu unverändert geblieben.

Die weltweit erste Acrylglasmühle

Cole & Mason bringt die weltweit erste Acryl-Fräsmaschine auf den Markt, die legendäre 505. Inspiriert von Acryl-Türknäufen, wie man sie bei Dinnerpartys sieht, ist die 505 bis heute ein beliebter, zeitloser Klassiker und gehört zu unserem Kernsortiment.

Unsere erste 2-in-1-Mühle

Immer zukunftsorientiert, sichert sich Cole & Mason ein Patent für die innovative Duo-Mühle. Diese clevere Konstruktion vereint Salz- und Pfeffermühle in einem einzigen Behälter und bietet so eine stilvolle und platzsparende Lösung.

Der Queen's Award für Exportleistungen

Cole & Mason konnte nationale und internationale Erfolge erzielen und wurde mit dem Queen's Award for Export Achievement ausgezeichnet, nachdem das Unternehmen Anfang der 1980er Jahre zur Nummer eins der britischen Marken für Salz- und Pfeffermühlen geworden war.

Unsere erste elektronische Mühle

Um mit der Zeit zu gehen, bringt Cole & Mason seine erste elektronische Kaffeemühle namens „Manhattan“ auf den Markt, die sich als erfolgreiche Ergänzung unseres ständig wachsenden Mühlen-Sortiments erweist.

Eine neue und moderne Mühlenreihe

Im Jahr 2010 wurde unsere legendäre und beliebte Derwent-Mühle mit ihrem modernen Design und dem transparenten Korpus auf den Markt gebracht. Sie diente als Inspiration für die Stadhampton Chili- und Gewürzmühle, die zwölf Jahre später, im Jahr 2022, vorgestellt wurde.

Ein Jahrhundert des Geschmacks

Cole & Mason feiert 100-jähriges Jubiläum mit dem limitierten Knightsbridge Centenary Silver Geschenkset. 2019 wird außerdem Precision+ eingeführt, ein neues Mahlwerk aus Kohlenstoffstahl, das mit jeder Umdrehung für mehr Pfeffer und intensiveres Aroma sorgt.

Die Londoner Sammlung

Die im September 2023 lancierte London Collection zelebriert Cole & Masons jahrhundertelange Erfahrung im Bereich der Würzung. Inspiriert von Londons Art-déco- und Industriearchitektur, ehrt sie unser Erbe und bietet gleichzeitig ein klassisches und doch zukunftsweisendes Design.
